Straight answer
How often should I refresh my ads?
There is no calendar rule that fits every account. Read what changed before replacing a working ad. If the response is falling and the page and follow-up still work, plan a new idea that addresses what the last ad stopped doing.
Four signals to read together
- The same people see it more often. Check frequency and reach together. A rising frequency by itself is a prompt to look closer, not a reason to turn an ad off.
- Fewer people respond to the impression. Compare click rate and cost to be seen with the same ad in an earlier period. Keep the offer, audience and placement in view before blaming the creative.
- The click no longer reaches the page. Compare clicks with page loads. If that gap widens, test the destination on a phone before replacing the ad.
- Page visits stop turning into enquiries or orders. Compare your own leads or orders with the platform report. A change after the click can make a healthy ad look tired.
A simple monthly decision
- Put this month beside last month for the same platform. Note what changed in reach, click rate, page loads and enquiries or orders.
- Mark changes to the offer, audience, budget, page and follow-up. These can explain a drop that looks like ad fatigue.
- Keep the ad if it still serves its job. If a new ad is needed, write a different idea with a clear first scene, claim, proof and action before filming it.
Do this yourself if you can read your account each month. A monthly refresh helps when the read and the next shootable ideas keep getting delayed.
